Nasscom Foundation Names UB Pravin Rao as New Chairperson
The Nasscom Foundation has named U.B. Pravin Rao as its newly appointed Chairperson, taking over from Rostow Ravanan.
Ravanan has completed his term, having offered consistent and reliable leadership during a critical period in the Foundation's development.

In his capacity as Chairperson, Rostow significantly contributed to enhancing the governance and strategic orientation of the Foundation.
Nasscom Foundation witnessed substantial growth and diversification under his leadership, particularly in areas such as digital inclusion, skill development, fostering women entrepreneurship, promoting social innovation, and bolstering the NGO landscape. This progress aligns with the Foundation's overarching objective of fostering inclusive economic growth through technological means.

U.B. Pravin Rao is a highly respected figure in the technology sector, with an impressive track record of more than three decades in overseeing international operations, leading large-scale transformations, and achieving exceptional results. His previous involvement with Nasscom, where he served as Vice Chairperson and Chairman, provides valuable continuity and a comprehensive understanding of the industry landscape.
In his role as Chairperson, he will play a crucial role in shaping the Foundation's strategic direction to align with the government's vision of a developed India. The Nasscom Foundation remains dedicated to operating at the convergence of technology and social change, under the guidance of its TechForGood ideology.

Its primary areas of focus include promoting digital inclusion, enhancing employability, supporting women entrepreneurship, and fortifying the NGO sector through technological advancements. Collaboration with corporate entities, NGOs, government agencies, and ecosystem partners is integral to developing scalable and result-driven initiatives that tackle significant social and economic hurdles.
