NSA Doval Discusses Bilateral Relations With Saudi Leaders

Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor, engaged in discussions with high-ranking officials from Saudi Arabia to address topics pertaining to the countries' bilateral relations, regional dynamics, and various shared interests.
Upon his arrival in Riyadh on Sunday, Doval was greeted at the airport by the Ambassador of India, Suhel Khan, and the Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Saud Al-Sati.

Ajit conducted discussions with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan, as well as with the Energy Minister, Abdulaziz bin Salman, and the National Security Advisor, Musaed Al-Aiban.
According to the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia on platform X, both parties engaged in deliberations regarding bilateral relations, the regional landscape, and other matters of common concern.
Ajit’s arrival coincides with the potential resumption of discussions between the US and Iran in Pakistan this week to resolve the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The initial dialogue between the US and Iran held in Pakistan on April 11 and 12 ended without reaching a mutual understanding.
“Hon'ble NSA Shri Ajit Doval paid an official visit to Riyadh on April 19. He was received at the Airport by Ambassador Dr Suhel Khan and Deputy Minister for Political Affairs @KSAmofaEN Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati. Later, he had meetings with Energy Minister H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Foreign Minister H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban. During the meetings they discussed bilateral relations, regional situation and other issues of mutual interests”.
The visit is taking place in the midst of multiple diplomatic efforts undertaken by India in addressing global security concerns.
Prior to this, on April 17th, discussions were held between Doval and Rustem Umerov, the Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council. The meeting emphasized the continuous strategic discussions between New Delhi and Kyiv amidst the ongoing turmoil in Eastern Europe.

According to Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, the talks with Ukraine primarily emphasized bilateral relations and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
India reaffirmed its long-standing stance in support of a peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.

India's active diplomacy is demonstrated through these interactions, which aim to tackle security issues on regional and international levels, as well as enhance relationships with important global allies.
