During his visit to Bikramganj in the Rohtas district of Bihar this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch development projects valued at Rs.48,500 crore.

His speech at a sizable public gathering will serve as the kickoff and laying of the groundwork for important welfare and infrastructure projects meant to boost Bihar's development in areas like connectivity, electricity, and transportation.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan are anticipated to arrive at the location before the Prime Minister's visit.

The 444-acre rally site has been lavishly decorated with a huge stage, a huge canopy, and intricate floral arrangements, including flowers from Patna and Kolkata.

The arrangements were finished by local craftspeople until this week.

With more than 5,000 people stationed at the location, security has been reinforced. About 10 Superintendents of Police, fifty Deputy SPs, and more than 1,000 inspectors and sub-inspectors make up the force.

About 250 checkpoints have been set up, and there are also makeshift police stations, ambulances, and fire engines on the property. The arrangements are being personally supervised by the Superintendent of Police and the District Magistrate.

PM Modi will launch or set the groundwork for a number of high-profile projects from the rally platform.

A four-lane elevated corridor in Gopalganj, the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four-lane road, and the third railway lines between Sonnagar-Muhammadganj and Kajart Nawadih-Sonnagar are a few examples of important road and rail improvements. The Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata six-lane expressway and three 800 MW power units under Phase II of the Navinagar thermal plant will also be inaugurated by him.

Other projects include the extension of NH-119D from Ramnagar to Kachchi Dargah, the construction of a new Ganga bridge between Buxar and Bharauli on NH-92, and the automatic block signaling system from Sasaram to Anugrah Narayan Road.

In addition, PM Modi will open amenities including staff quarters and hostels in Jehanabad and the new five-platform railway terminus at Harding Park in Patna.

The demonstration, which is anticipated to draw thousands of supporters, has political significance in addition to serving as a venue for unveiling development initiatives. Ahead of the next Assembly elections, the visit is viewed as a crucial opportunity to fortify the BJP's organizational basis in the state.
