Raghav Gupta's appointment by OpenAI as Head of Education for India and the Asia Pacific area highlights the company's increasing emphasis on incorporating AI into regional educational institutions

With students depending on ChatGPT for homework, test preparation, and skill development, India has become one of the biggest ChatGPT user bases.

The company's choice to hire him is indicative of an attempt to strengthen cooperation with academic institutions, educators, and legislators to guarantee that AI technologies cater to the unique requirements of teachers and students.

He has more than 25 years of experience creating and growing technology-driven companies in the travel, consumer services, and education sectors.

During his eight years at Coursera, he increased the number of learners in the Asia-Pacific region from 2 million to over 55 million, grew the enterprise clientele from 10 to over 1,000, and managed revenue growth at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 60 percent.
