Farmers can access this information through phone calls, chatbots, and a dedicated mobile application. The platform is designed to streamline the process of accessing crucial agricultural information and support services.

By integrating artificial intelligence technology, the Bharat-VISTAAR platform offers a user-friendly and efficient solution for farmers. This innovative tool will empower farmers by providing them with essential resources to improve their agricultural practices and decision-making processes.

The launch of this platform underscores the government's commitment to enhancing the agricultural sector through advanced technology solutions. The comprehensive range of information provided by the platform will enable farmers to make informed decisions and optimize their yields.

Through the use of the Bharat-VISTAAR platform, farmers can stay updated on market trends, weather forecasts, and key agricultural practices. Phase One will involve the implementation of the facility in both Hindi and English across multiple states such as Maharashtra, Bihar, and Gujarat.

According to reports, Chouhan will be unveiling the AI for Agriculture Roadmap and organizing an AI Hackathon. The Bharat-VISTAAR program was introduced in the recent FY27 Union Budget. Farmers will have the capability to obtain and monitor various types of information, such as weather forecasts, market prices, pest and disease alerts, soil health data, crop management practices, and a minimum of 10 significant central government initiatives, through the platform.

The system will incorporate the package of practices recommended by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, crop management guidance, and soil health card-based advisories, allowing farmers to access scientific and location-specific advice.

The platform is developed as an AI system that prioritizes voice interaction, enabling farmers with basic feature phones to access its benefits through a simple phone call.

The telephony helpline 155261 has been incorporated into the platform, offering features such as voice recognition and response, a chatbot on the website and mobile site, and an upcoming Android application launch in the pipeline. During its initial stage, Bharat-VISTAAR will integrate weather information from the India Meteorological Department, market rates from AgMarkNet, pest and disease control advice from the National Pest Surveillance System, Agri-Stack data, and details on 10 government initiatives.
