Sula Vineyards Names Chaitanya Rathi as Non-Executive Director

Sula Vineyards has named ex-Chief Operating Officer Chaitanya Rathi as an Additional Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, starting August 6, 2026.
The appointment signifies Rathi's comeback to the wine company following two leadership periods that lasted over ten years.
Rathi initially became part of Sula in 2006 and remained with the company until 2013. In this time, he contributed to developing and expanding its hospitality and wine tourism sector. He came back to Sula in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer, a role he maintained until 2023.

In his role as COO, Rathi managed various business operations and directed a team of over 400 staff members. He was also engaged in Sula's IPO in 2022.
Commenting on the appointment, Rajeev Samant, CEO, Sula Vineyards, says, “Chaitanya has played an important role in Sula’s journey and brings a deep understanding of our business and culture”.
“Over the years, he has helped shape our wine tourism business and played a key role in Sula’s IPO journey. Currently, Sula’s wine tourism venture draws over 400,000 guests each year, as the company keeps broadening its hospitality and wine tourism presence.

Aside from Sula, Rathi has occupied operational and investment positions in consumer sectors, alcobev, hospitality, and various other rapidly expanding ventures. He has previously been a board member and strategic advisor for various companies and is now the Founder of Searchlight ETA, a Search Fund platform in India focused on Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.

Rathi offers over 20 of experience in business strategy, operations, investments, and value creation. At Sula, he is anticipated to aid in the company’s next growth stage as it keeps enhancing its fundamental wine operations, broadening its wine tourism and hospitality ventures, and seeking new growth prospects.
