Pichai noted a significant increase in the embrace of artificial intelligence, expressing great optimism, especially within India. He emphasized the country's potential to engage with various aspects of AI but highlighted the necessity of swiftly spreading technology across the populace for substantial advancement.

Pichai emphasized Google's longstanding commitment to investing in AI for over ten years, highlighting how the technology is currently transforming the company's primary services. He stated that the utilization of AI has significantly influenced the ways in which individuals interact with Google Search, with AI Overviews being highlighted as one of the most successful new introductions by the company.

He also highlighted that Indian consumers are at the forefront of embracing voice-activated search technology. Furthermore, he emphasized that the Gemini application is experiencing rapid growth in India, positioning the country as one of its key markets.

Pichai unveiled new endeavors, including a $30 million challenge by Google to advance worldwide AI research. Furthermore, he discussed the "India-America Connect" program, which seeks to enhance AI collaboration between the two nations. He mentioned the importance of infrastructure development in relation to the previous year's announcement of a $15 billion investment in an AI center hub in Vizag.

In collaboration with the Indian government, Google DeepMind will enhance artificial intelligence capabilities and introduce generative AI tools to 10,000 schools.

 

Before delivering his speech, Pichai engaged in a meeting with Narendra Modi to explore potential collaborations between Google and the academic and professional communities of India in the field of artificial intelligence.

Additionally, he detailed a new initiative called 'India–America Connect' aimed at enhancing AI connectivity between the two nations. With regards to the previous year's disclosure of a $15 billion investment for an AI center hub in Vizag, he emphasized the ongoing importance of infrastructure development.
