TCS Elevates Amit Tiwari to Global Head: Marketing Technology

Amit Tiwari, formerly the Global Head of Marketing Demand Centre at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has been promoted to the position of Global Head of Marketing Technology and Digital.
In his previous position, Amit successfully led the expansion of marketing and business functions, utilized advanced technologies, and introduced creative strategies to generate revenue for various commercial business solutions.

He offered guidance on aligning marketing technology products with other technologies and platforms, as well as recognizing potential for innovation in various areas such as technologies, markets, partnerships, and emerging trends.
Amit conducted analysis to recognize and assess emerging market trends, opportunities for development, and advancements in technology, while also ensuring the availability of essential resources to implement marketing strategies and seize opportunities for expansion.
He formulated the marketing technology strategy in accordance with customer engagement and relationship marketing objectives, collaborating with product, agile, and cross-functional teams to introduce innovative solutions and refine processes for efficient implementation and execution.

His main areas of specialization encompass marketing strategy, leadership in martech, digital marketing and transformation, global marketing, brand strategy, customer experience, project management, cross-cultural cooperation, market intelligence, and CRM-driven business expansion.
Amit initiated his professional journey at Quantum Communications, followed by roles at Triton Communications, Lintas Media Group, ZenithOptimedia India, and Maxus India. He later transitioned to Philips India as Country Manager overseeing Marketing Communications and Media, and subsequently earned a promotion to Director leading Marketing for the Indian Subcontinent, focusing on Branding, Communication, and Digital strategies.
During his tenure as Vice President - Marketing at Havells India, Amit spearheaded brand, product, and marketing initiatives targeting both consumer and business-to-business sectors. His instrumental role in establishing a distinctive brand identity extended beyond the Havells parent brand to encompass its subsidiary brands—Lloyd, Crabtree, Standard, and Reo.

Earlier, TCS designated Prerna Sinha as the Head of Human Resources for its Cyber Security Business Group, thereby enhancing leadership supervision during a period where cyber expertise is crucial for business expansion and digital credibility. Prerna revealed this transition officially through a post on LinkedIn, signaling her shift to a new role after almost 20 years at the forefront of the IT services industry. In her new position, she will take on the vital task of spearheading the human resources initiatives for TCS's cyber security division, encompassing aspects such as enhancing skills, fostering a conducive workplace culture, strategic manpower planning, and ensuring alignment within leadership ranks.
Prerna's appointment to the role is backed by a wealth of internal experience, with a career spanning more than 18 years at TCS in various high-level leadership positions within the HR department. Before assuming her current role, she oversaw human resources for the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) divisions, and previously held leadership roles in HR for the Manufacturing and Utilities sectors. She has been appointed at a time when cyber security experts have become a crucial focus for leading technology companies worldwide.
