The Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini plans to enter Chennai's upscale residential sector through Republic of Nature (RON), a high-end residential project being developed by GTB Developers at Vadanemmeli along the East Coast Road (ECR).

The initiative is expected to commence on November 13. Arun Bharathi Arunachalam, Managing Director of GTB Developers, stated that Tonino Lamborghini is anticipated to attend the ceremony for laying the foundation stone in Chennai.

Republic of Nature will include 106 upscale apartments and 23 villas, aiming at the high-end and ultra-luxury sectors of Chennai’s housing market. The apartments will vary in size from approximately 3,750 sq ft to 7,000 sq ft and are anticipated to be valued between Rs.6 crore and Rs.11 crore.

The developer anticipates obtaining the necessary approvals soon.

Tonino Lamborghini will apply its brand, design, and interior expertise to the project, encompassing interior decoration and furniture for communal spaces and club amenities.

The luxury accessories and Italian lifestyle brand was established in 1981 by Tonino Lamborghini, the son of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of the Lamborghini automotive company. The brand has grown into various luxury lifestyle segments, such as interiors, hospitality, and high-end products. He mentioned that the residential community is anticipated to cover approximately 11.5 acres.

A prominent aspect of the project will be a 3.5-acre artificial lagoon, intended to be the first of its kind in the nation. According to Bharathi, a lagoon expert based in Dubai is anticipated to be involved in the project.

The project is projected to feature a 20,000-sq-ft recreational area resembling a private beach that will be reserved solely for residents. Since regulations prevent private ownership of the natural beachfront, the planned facility would be situated within the development.

Situated near beaches, resorts, and entertainment venues along the ECR, Republic of Nature is approximately one kilometre before the Sheraton Grand Resort. A SeleQtions property by Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) was previously revealed as a component of the broader Republic of Nature project.

Collaborating with Tonino Lamborghini will establish a branded-residence identity for the project, infusing Chennai’s housing market with the Italian brand’s design and luxury reputation. He mentioned that the project might become the inaugural residential location branded by Tonino Lamborghini in South India.

The Chennai project arises as international luxury brands show increasing interest in India's upscale real estate market. In April, Signature Global revealed a partnership with Tonino Lamborghini for a housing project in Sector 71, Gurugram.

For GTB Developers, Republic of Nature signifies a significant investment in the increasing need for ultra-luxury residences in Chennai.
