Following his address at the yearly assembly of global leaders, Trump is anticipated to engage in discussions with new British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, and have a less formal meeting with Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez, as per the White House.
He is also scheduled to engage with leaders and high-ranking officials from Gulf Cooperation Council countries - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates - to talk about the future regarding the conflict in Iran and rising worries about recent attacks by Iran-backed rebels on Saudi Arabia.

The trip to the UN occurs at a time when Trump's approach to foreign policy - notably his choice to initiate conflict with Iran - has hindered his fellow Republicans' aspirations to maintain dominance in both houses of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections.
