Unitree Technology Eyes $7.4 Billion Valuation Ahead of Shanghai IPO

Chinese robotics firm Unitree Technology is expected to achieve a valuation exceeding 50 billion yuan (approximately $7.4 billion) following its planned initial public offering (IPO) in Shanghai, according to a report by Citic Securities, the lead sponsor of the listing.
The Hangzhou-based company is projected to be valued between 50.6 billion yuan and 55.9 billion yuan within six to twelve months after its market debut, which is anticipated later this month.
The valuation report, shared with investors and reviewed by Reuters, is considered a key reference point ahead of the upcoming IPO price inquiry. Unitree aims to raise around 4.2 billion yuan through the offering, with funds earmarked for advancing innovation and scaling production capabilities.
Operating in the rapidly growing robotics sector, Unitree competes with global players such as Tesla and Boston Dynamics, particularly in the development of humanoid robots. The company is also recognized for its quadruped robotic systems.
