Vantage Data Centers, a prominent international supplier of hyperscale data center facilities, revealed that it has obtained $1.6 billion in funding to expand its operations across the Asia-Pacific region.

The funding round was spearheaded by a GIC affiliate, which operates as a global institutional investor, along with a complete subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority ("ADIA"). Both GIC and ADIA, operating through their related entities, maintain existing investment positions in Vantage Data Centers.

Additionally, the organization disclosed its intentions to enter the Johor, Malaysia marketplace through purchasing Yondr Group's ("Yondr") hyperscale data center facility exceeding 300MW capacity, situated within Sedenak Tech Park.

This facility represents one of Southeast Asia's most substantial hyperscale data center complexes and forms part of Yondr's asset collection that was recently purchased by investment entities operated by DigitalBridge Group, Inc. ("DigitalBridge") affiliates, a premier global alternative asset management firm focused on digital infrastructure investments and among Vantage's major investors through its managed funds.

Jeremy Deutsch, president of Vantage Data Centers, APAC  says,“This significant investment marks a pivotal milestone in our APAC growth journey. With the support of GIC and ADIA, we are positioned as one of the largest providers of sustainable AI and cloud digital infrastructure in the region.
