ZEE Entertainment Elevates Laxmi Shetty to Lead Advertisement Revenue Strategy

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., a media and entertainment company, has announced that Laxmi Shetty has been promoted to head of digital and broadcast ad revenue with immediate effect.
According to Z, Shetty will spearhead the company's initiatives to improve monetization across its digital and linear operations, bolstering its financial base even further by optimizing revenue generation. She will answer directly to Punit Goenka, the CEO.
Ashish Sehgal, the chief growth officer for the ad revenue vertical, has made the decision to leave the company in order to explore new endeavors.
Shetty has over 20 years of expertise in the whole advertising industry and has been a member of Z's revenue vertical and leadership team. She contributes cross-platform solutions, takes advantage of fresh opportunities, and improves value delivery to advertisers by working directly with the sales ecosystem, Z added.
She would be in charge of spearheading a comprehensive monetization strategy for the entire company in this new position by leveraging fresh revenue sources and expanding the advertiser base by providing distinctive solutions at the nexus of technology and content.

Z's consolidated net profits for the first quarter of the 2025–26 fiscal year increased by 24% to ₹144 crore, up from ₹126 crore in the same period last year. Compared to ₹2,130 crore during the same period in the previous fiscal year, the company's core operations revenue fell 14% to ₹1,825 crore during the April–June quarter of the fiscal year 2025–2026. The company's three main sources of income are advertising revenue, subscription revenue, and other sales and services.
After its merger with Sony Pictures Entertainment failed, Z said in February 2024 that it was implementing a three-pronged strategy to recover margins: lowering costs, minimizing business overlaps, and improving quality.
