Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Grasim Industries, noted that the company is situated at the crossroads of several key growth drivers in the nation: housing, infrastructure, consumption, financial inclusion, digital commerce, sustainability, and clean energy.
In FY27, Grasim is set to achieve Rs.2-lakh crore in consolidated revenue, almost twice the amount from five years prior, he mentioned during the company’s 79th Annual General Meeting on Friday.
In the last five years, Grasim has allocated approximately Rs.74,000 crore in capital expenditures to enhance and construct homes, promote cement infrastructure development, facilitate sustainable fashion, back industrial growth, increase financial inclusion, digitize commerce, and drive the clean energy shift.
Housing, urbanization, infrastructure progress, and increasing consumer desires are generating a significant opportunity for expansion.
Birla stated that Grasim has now established a stronger, more cohesive presence in this ecosystem through UltraTech Cement, Birla Opus, and Birla Pivot.
In two years, Birla Opus has increased revenue annually and attained a 10 per cent market share in the Indian decorative paints sector on an individual basis in FY26. It is currently the second-largest player in terms of capacity market share. With the Birla White putty division, Grasim's revenue market share has attained the low teens in the Indian decorative paints sector, he stated.

In the core business, Lyocell is rising as one of the leading next-generation cellulosic fibers. The company is enhancing its future preparedness with an investment of close to Rs.4,000 crore, increasing its Lyocell fibre capacity to almost five times that of its existing capacity, according to Birla.
