IG Drones has been awarded the patent for the country's first indigenous defense drone simulator, marking a significant milestone in India's journey towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat and a historic step towards the country's technical sovereignty and defense self-reliance.

This simulator, which was first exhibited by Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Defence Expo 2022, is now a proud representation of Bharatiya ingenuity, capacity, and resolve as well as a beacon of India's domestic defence prowess.

This next-generation simulator, which was fully designed, developed, and produced in India, gives the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and paramilitary forces realistic, high-fidelity training.

It enables our soldiers to become proficient in combat drone operations in high-risk scenarios that are simulated, such as multi-drone missions and GPS-denied zones.

The simulator's cutting-edge AI, physics-based engines, and real-time terrain dynamics remove reliance on external systems and provide a safe, affordable, and entirely Indian substitute. This is more than simply a commodity; it is a strategic force multiplier that upholds the motto "Jai Jawan, Jai Vigyan" and fortifies our fighters' hands.

“This patent is a proud declaration of India’s technological resurgence,” said Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, Founder & CEO of IG Drones. “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi ji, we are not just building products—we are building the future of Bharat’s defence. This Made-in-India drone simulator is a salute to our nation’s armed forces, scientists, and innovators.”

IG Drones is the first Indian firm to get intellectual property rights for a drone simulator platform, a field that was previously controlled by foreign companies, thanks to this patent.

The accomplishment demonstrates India's increasing self-assurance in creating top-notch domestic defense solutions, which is entirely consistent with the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.

By using locally produced VTOL, FPV, and kamikaze drones for strategic surveillance, mapping, and targeted strikes during Operation Sindoor, IG Drones—already a reliable partner of the Indian Armed Forces—further cemented its standing as a Bharatiya defense technology pioneer.

This patent demonstrates the strength of Indian intelligence, Indian industry, and Indian intent at a time when the world is seeing India's ascent. It is a strong reminder to our great country's scientists, soldiers, and young people that India can create, lead, and prevail on its own.
