Palo Alto Networks Unveils AI Cybersecurity Service for Businesses
Palo Alto Networks is set to introduce a new cybersecurity service that uses advanced artificial intelligence models from Anthropic and OpenAI to help businesses identify security weaknesses across their digital environments.
The company said the new offering, called Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense, is designed to help organizations continuously detect vulnerabilities and potential attack paths as their web applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), and cloud infrastructure evolve.
The move comes as cybercriminals increasingly use AI to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in corporate networks. Cybersecurity providers are consequently turning to AI-powered tools to accelerate threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and remediation.
According to Palo Alto Networks, Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense will combine cybersecurity-focused AI models, including Anthropic’s Claude Mythos 5 and OpenAI’s GPT-5.6-Cyber, with open-weight models. The service is intended to continuously assess an organization’s digital infrastructure and identify potential weaknesses that could be exploited by attackers.

Beyond vulnerability detection, the service will provide recommendations to help customers address identified security gaps. These recommendations can include code-level changes as well as virtual patching solutions, enabling organizations to mitigate potential risks while longer-term fixes are implemented.
Palo Alto Networks said the service will be available globally through annual subscriptions. Pricing will vary depending on the combination of AI models selected by customers, including models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source providers.

The company’s latest offering reflects the growing role of AI in both cyberattacks and cybersecurity defenses.
