Earlier, IndusInd Bank appointed Pankaj Sharma, previously the chief strategy officer at Yes Bank, to lead business transformation initiatives. Sharma appears to be replacing Anil Rao, who currently oversees operations at IndusInd Bank. Rao, a veteran employee of IndusInd Bank, previously served on the executive committee during the period when Sumant Kathpalia resigned from his position as the bank's CEO.

With more than 25 years in the banking sector, Pankaj Sharma's most recent role was as chief strategy officer at Yes Bank. He was one of four staff members released by the institution in April during Yes Bank's strategic reorganization process. Before joining Yes Bank, Sharma held the position of chief operating officer at RBL Bank.
