KP Group Names Rajesh Shrivastava as Executive Director

KP Group, a comprehensive renewable energy and infrastructure conglomerate, has declared the appointment of Rajesh Shrivastava as Executive Director, enhancing its leadership team as the firm speeds up its expansion and growth strategies throughout the renewable energy landscape.

With close to forty years of expertise across the power, infrastructure, EPC, and renewable energy industries, Shrivastava comes on board with KP Group during an important period of expansion and diversification.

Throughout his 37-year career, he has been linked to over 30 GW of power initiatives in both conventional and renewable energy fields, comprising more than 10 GW of renewable energy projects presently in execution and development.

Before becoming part of KP Group, Shrivastava was the President & Business Head – Renewable Energy Development at Reliance New Energy, where he was instrumental in strategizing and implementing a vast renewable energy framework in Kutch, which included 150 GWp solar capacity and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Previously, as the Chief Executive Officer at Aditya Birla Renewables, he drove the growth of the company's renewable assets from around 645 MW to more than 3.2 GW in just two years, while also influencing the Group’s long-term decarbonisation plan.

While serving as Chief Operating Officer at Adani Green Energy, Shrivastava oversaw the implementation of a significant hybrid renewable energy project featuring approximately 2.3 GW of solar and 760 MW of wind capacity at one site during the Covid era.

A Gold Medalist in Civil Engineering, Shrivastava earned an M.Tech in Structures from IIT Mumbai and has undertaken executive management studies at INSEAD Singapore. Toshiba Corporation, Japan, has acknowledged him as one of the Top 15 Global Leaders.
